He will be chatting to host Graham Liver about the launch of an appeal for names to go on a new screen wall at the back of the Chorley civic war memorial in Astley Park.

So far some 679 names have been identified of those men from the town who were killed in both World Wars.

Lists will be available for perusal from Tuesday on the Chorley Remembers website, in Chorley Central Library and its branches, as well as the Town Hall.

In addition, plans showing development work on the war memorial site to accommodate the wall containing 18 panels will also be available, as part of a month long consultation period in conjunction with Chorley Council.

The project is funded mostly by a grant from Heritage Lottery Fund and it is hoped that the names will be in place for Remembrance Sunday in November.
