A play by Chorley-based theatre group Top Box Productions has raised over £400 for the Chorley Cenotaph Appeal.
‘A Call To Arms’ was based on the Chorley Pals who went to fight on the battlefields in World War One, many of whom didn’t come home. The play followed a group of men who signed up together, and showed the tragic effects the war had the on soldiers and their families.
The event was held at St Michael’s C of E High School on the evening of Friday 25th May, and was attended by over 100 people.
The money raised by this event will go towards getting the names of the fallen form Chorley placed on the town’s Cenotaph, and takes the total raised so far to £7100.
We would like to express our thanks Ryan Norse and everyone at Top Box Productions who kindly gave their time to put on a great show to raise funds for the project.
