National house builders Barratt’s are to sponsor elements of the Chorley Remembers project.
The company, who have a major development in the town at Buckshaw Village, will pay for the project’s website for a year, as well as make a contribution towards a remembrance trail leaflet next year.
The four figure deal was brokered by Trustees, local historian Steve Williams, and Steve Penlington, who is also Chief Executive of the Chorley Building Society.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Project Chairman Lindsay Hoyle MP said: “We are delighted that Barratt’s have chosen to support our project and the local community.”
The project recent assisted the ‘Barratt Legacy’ programme with the research, photographs and design of information and interpretation boards at Buckshaw Village, the site of the former Royal Ordnance Factory from 1938 to 2007.
