After over two years of work from volunteers, the list of names of the fallen from Chorley town to go on the War Memorial in Astley Park is nearly complete.
There are currently 557 names from the First World War and 146 from the Second World War and four from other conflicts.
There will be a meeting shortly between Chorley Remembers staff and members of the Lancashire Family History Society (Chorley branch) to cross reference all the names.
The final list will go to Trustees on the 17th August before being forwarded to the engravers in Hampshire.
There is still time for a name to be added, so if you believe you know of someone who isn’t on one of the lists below, please contact us by using this link or call the Project Office on 01257 273621.
