The block wall to hold the 16 Portland Limestone panels is almost complete and should be finished by Wednesday.
The engraved stones have left Hampshire this afternoon and should be on-site tomorrow (Tuesday) – a day ahead of schedule.
A team of specialist stonemasons should start work on Thursday but this may now be brought forward, pending an on-site meeting late tomorrow.
Once the stonemasons start, the wall holding the relocated Falklands and conflict stones will be completed, and work will start on the random stone wall either side of the panels.
