We were on site this morning (Saturday) filming a video report for the website, YouTube and Facebook.
Specialist stonemasons, MJR Masonry Services from Liverpool (who did all the work on the Chorley Pals Memorial in 2010) were working laying the base stones to take the 16 Portland Limestone panels.
They anticipate taking two days to do all the preparation work, and will make a start on installing the 1.2 m x 1.2m panels on Wednesday.
They expect to complete all of the work, on schedule, by Friday 2nd November.
