There are 734 names in total – 567 from the First World War, 161 from the Second World War and six from other conflicts since 1945.

In total there are 6,165 characters and the cost of engraving will be just over £8,000, all of which has come from the Chorley Remembers Appeal Fund as the cost of engraving was not part of the Heritage Lottery Fund grant award for the project.

Anyone wishing to make a donation to the appeal can do so at any branch of the Chorley Building Society or send a cheque, made payable to “Chorley Remembers Appeal Fund”, to Chorley Remembers, Key House, Foxhole Road, Chorley PR7 1NZ.
