Local family history society members continue with research

Members of the Chorley branch of the Lancashire Family History & Heraldry Society have been beavering away in Chorley Library for the last few months, recording names of men and women from the Second World War to go on to the Cenotaph in Astley Park.

The names will also be cross referenced with lists from the Ministry of Defence and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, along with over 600 names of men from the town who fell in the First World War.
