The Mayor of Chorley, Cllr. June Molyneaux, attended a talk by Chorley Pals Memorial Secretary Steve Williams at Chorley Library yesterday (Monday).

The illustrated talk was entitled ‘Pals, Tommies & Terriers’ and featured men from Chorley who fought in the Great War.
In thanking Steve and the Chorley Remembers project, the Mayor said: “We must never forget the sacrifice of men from the Borough who gave their lives in numerous wars and conflicts over the years.”
She also said that she was very much looking forward to being at the unveiling of the new war memorial in Astley Park later this year.
