The total number of names, so far, is 695 - with 551 from the First World War, 137 from World War Two and seven from other conflicts since then.

Three of those men include Sapper Jack Cowell from Parker Street in Chorley who was killed on the Somme in 1916, A/c 2 Walter Heaps from Moor Road who was killed in an accident at RAF Portreath in Cornwall on the 3rd December 1941, and Flight Sgt. Jeremiah Parker who worked at Chorley Post Office prior to enlisting and was killed when his Lancaster bomber was shot down over Lille on the 10th May 1944.

Lists of names to go on the War Memorial can be viewed here as well as at Chorley libraries.
