Workshops to show how to research family military history

We are holding two workshops for Chorley people looking to find out how to research their family’s involvement in military conflicts over the years.

The first workshop will be on Monday 11th March and it will be repeated on Monday 8th April. They start at 6.00 p.m. in the Community History Section (First floor) of Chorley Library, and will last about 90 minutes.

There will be a presentation by members of the Chorley branch of the Lancashire Family History Society, followed by an opportunity to go on-line using the Library’s computers.

Funded by the Heritage Lottery grant to the Chorley Remembers project, there is no charge but spaces are limited to just 25 people; preference is given to residents of Chorley and surrounding villages.

To register, just contact us with full details.
