It is with great sadness that we have heard of the passing of Reverend Tim Wilby, the Vicar of St. George’s in Chorley.
He was great supporter of the Chorley Pals and Trust, hosting a memorial service in St. George’s for the Pals in February 2010 and a few days later played a major part at the unveiling ceremony for the Pals Memorial (pictured).
Reverend Tim officiated at the Act of Remembrance for the Pals at the memorial in Chorley on the 1st July 2016 - 100 years on from when the Pals went over the top.
Tributes have been paid to Reverend Tim, a former Army Chaplain, by the Chairman & Co-Founder of the Pals Memorial, Rt. Hon. Lindsay Hoyle MP along with the co-founder and local historian Steve Williams.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and parishioners - he will be sadly missed by all. R.I.P.
