Trustees shocked at loss of Trustee Jo Ecob

Jo Ecob

Trustees are still in shock after the death of one of our Trustees last month.

Jo Ecob became a Trustee in 2007 majoring on the financial and governance side of the Trust. A well known Accountant in the town, she died at the end of January, aged 61, after a short illness.

Leading the tributes in the Chorley Guardian this week was Chairman & Co-Founder of the Trust, Rt. Hon. Lindsay Hoyle the MP for Chorley who was a close friend of Jo’s for many years.

Echoing many other tributes to Jo, the other co-founder of the Trust Steve Williams said: “We still cannot believe that Jo wont be at our next meeting - she will be missed by us all but rememebred with great affection”.

The photograph is from 2009 of the initial drawing for the Chorley Pals Memorial, which was unveiled a year later on The Flat Iron in Chorley.
